23 Weeks

Well, I am almost half way there. It feels like the time has gone by so slowly but when I look back I can't believe it has been almost 6 months. I am feeling the baby move everyday. Some days I feel it more than others. Of course I get very nervous on the days I dont feel too much. I ordered a fetal doppler so I can hear the baby's heartbeat at home. I think this will help me relax just knowing the baby is still in there going strong. We are getting ready to plan the baby shower. I am not really supposed to be involved but I have nothing better to do. I have been so tired this whole pregnancy. I have never felt that burst of energy you are supposed to get around month 4. I am still waiting. I am just going to take it as a signal that my body needs to rest.
The interesting things going on inside this week are :
How your baby's growing:Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

I got a gift for christmas that lets me play music and talk to the baby. It has a belt and you stick the little speakers inside. I have been playing baby mozart and Iron & Wine.
